Ft. Worth Invitational

Does Ft. Worth ever cross your mind? George Strait songs aside, coming off a big win at -23 this past weekend at the Byron Nelson tournament, Aaron Wise looks to do pretty well here.

The event starts Thursday, so it’s time for some terrible predictions.

He can move up ranks with great play in just one round here.  He did well last week at Trinity Forest, and of course at the Players champ two weeks ago.  I’m seeing him as a top-5 here at least.

Jordan Spieth

Ft. Worth is still close to home territory for him, so Spieth will be a contender for sure.  His putting gave him trouble at the Byron Nelson, but I think it was mainly due to the course.

Adam Scott

He’s going to go hard this week and has the ability to get back into contention for the FedEx cup. He missed US Open qualifying but can get some of his groove back with a win this week.

Bryson DeChambeau

“Who the fuck is this guy?” He has a bad track record at Colonial, but he’s been performing strong and I’m keeping him on the radar this week.

Without a lot of history, it’s tough to say how he will do.  He missed the cut at Harbor Town which is pretty comparable to Colonial, but I think he’s worth a mention.
